A seventh person has died from gunshot wounds suffered in the calculated massacre at Highland Park’s Fourth of July parade.
The person was not immediately identified, but officials confirmed the news Tuesday to Chicago NBC affiliate WMAQ.
Robert Crimo III, 22, was captured by police hours after the shooting but named only as a “person of interest” despite the mountain of evidence tying him to the massacre about 20 miles north of downtown Chicago.
Authorities also said Tuesday that 46 people were wounded in the attack, in addition to the seven people killed, according to WMAQ.
Police said Crimo planned the shooting for months, disguised himself by dressing as a woman and then opened fire indiscriminately on parade-goers.
