Price and availability of the OnePlus 11
On February 7, the OnePlus 11 made its global debut (following a launch just for China on January 9). The delivery date is February 16.
The OnePlus 11 costs $699 / £729 (about AU$1,010) for the base model, which has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A variant with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is also available for $799/£799 (about A$1,155). But OnePlus doesn’t offer its phones for sale in Australia.
It’s important to note that although there are additional models available in China, including one with 512GB of storage, only the first two are available internationally.
In any event, the OnePlus 11 is now less expensive than the OnePlus 10 Pro, which had a starting price of $899 / £799 (around AU$1,300) at launch. That’s fantastic news because the OnePlus 11 is essentially a Pro phone.
A Bang & Olufsen Speaker or a set of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, which were unveiled alongside the phone, are among the complimentary gifts you may receive if you pre-order a OnePlus 11.
OnePlus 11’s display and design
First off, it’s important to note that there is now only one OnePlus 11 model, the OnePlus 11 5G, which offers specifications comparable to those of a Pro model. Therefore, it is doubtful that OnePlus will release a distinct OnePlus 11 Pro later; however, OnePlus 11T could debut in 2023.
In any event, the OnePlus 11’s design is mostly similar to that of the OnePlus 10 Pro, with a punch-hole camera in the screen and a glass back in Titan Black or Eternal Green. It also features a new round stainless steel camera module.
The green hue is believed to be inspired by a rainforest at sunset, while the black hue is said to be inspired by black holes.
The OnePlus 11’s 6.7-inch 120Hz 1440 x 3216 fluid AMOLED display is similar to that of its predecessor, and it measures 163.1 x 74.1 x 8.53mm and weighs 205g. It also features the company’s recognizable alert slider. It has a 20.1:9 aspect ratio and 525 pixels per inch.
Additionally, while it has a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, it may go as low as 1Hz when necessary, such as when employing the always-on display option. Additionally shielded by Gorilla Glass Victus, the screen is robust.
OnePlus 11’s camera and power source
The OnePlus 11 sports a triple-lens rear camera that includes a 50MP f/1.8 IMX890 main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 48MP f/2.2 IMX581 ultra-wide sensor (with a 115-degree field of view), and a 32MP f/2.0 IMX709 portrait lens with 2x optical zoom, according to the firm.
The portrait lens is in place of the telephoto lens from its predecessor, and the sensors are different from last year’s configuration.
The cameras here have Hasselblad name and technology, similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro, but there’s also a new 13-channel multi-spectral sensor for light-color detection, which could enhance the color accuracy of photos.
There is a 16MP f/2.4 selfie camera, and video can be captured at up to 8K quality at 24 frames per second or up to 4K at up to 60 frames per second.
The OnePlus 11 sports a 5,000mAh battery with 100W charging, which is quick enough to complete a full charge in under 25 minutes.
That’s an increase from the OnePlus 10 Pro’s 80W, though it should be noted that the 10 Pro charged at a slower 65W in the US. This time around, we’re seeing a similar split, with the slower-charging US model purportedly charging at 80W, though that hasn’t been confirmed as of the time of writing.
